Be part of EarthSonic Live - an all-day and nighttime celebration of sound, nature and climate at Manchester Museum. Through talks, workshops and performances, artists, conservationists and activists come together to explore the stories of the planet through music.

Head down throughout the day to join workshops and discussions, and browse stalls across the museum. Hear from Andy Cato (Groove Armada), climate activist Tori Tsui, The Climate Choir, the RSPB, and many others leading creative and ecological change.

Take part in a biosonification workshop with Brian De’Souza, learn about nightingales and music with Sam Lee, sing with the Climate Choir, or get hands-on making paper lanterns with the RSPB. You can even design your own container garden with The Cloud Gardener or use Ableton equipment to turn frog sounds into beats.

As night falls, the Museum will transform into a unique late-night performance space. Expect a DJ set from Groove Armada, Werkha’s installation Saturama, a screening and Q&A of BICEP’s TAKKUUK, and a live performance from Natural Symphony, who uses the bio-rhythms of plants and trees to create electronic music.

A blend of art, science and activism, EarthSonic Live invites audiences to listen differently - to the planet, and to each other.
